About Tom

Tom has been an ordained member of the United Church of Christ for over 25 years. He has held positions of Minister of Christian Education, Assistant Pastor, and Associate Pastor for Church Development and Support. He has team-taught Youth Leaders for the Connecticut Conference, Small Group Leaders for churches, and created a Mentoring Manual for Discipleship. Tom has also trained Alpha leaders and developed the Omega Course, a Gifts and Call Course that can stand alone or act as a follow up to the Alpha Course. He was involved in the UCC’s National Office New England Evangelism Institutes (3 years) focusing on the area of Spiritual Gifts and Ministry.

He has served churches in Clinton (13 years), Colchester (4 years), and Unionville, Conn. (6 years). Educationally, Tom has a Master of Divinity degree from Andover Newton Theological School (1977), a Master Practitioner Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (1990), and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Fuller Theological Seminary (1992). Just recently he completed the Vision Discernment and Congregational Mission Assessment Seminars conducted by Tom Bandy of Easum / Bandy & Associates. (2001)

Tom lives with his wife Rosie (25+ years married!) who is an active member of St. Mary's Church of the Visitation (RC) in Clinton, CT.
